Coupon System

Coupon Types

Karen currently supports 2 types of coupons:

• Discount Coupon: Percentage discount, e.g., 30% off.
• Fixed Amount Coupon: Fixed amount deduction when a minimum spend is met.

Applicable Scope

Each coupon has a specified applicable scope and can only be used in the corresponding scenarios:

• Platform-wide: Valid for all products.
• VM Purchase: For new virtual machine orders.
• VM Renewal: For renewing existing virtual machines.
• VM Upgrade: For upgrading virtual machine configurations.
• Resource Type: Additional resources like storage, network, etc.
• Network Interface Creation: For adding network interfaces.
• Public IP Reset: For changing public IP addresses.
• Traffic Reset: For resetting traffic quota.
• Kubernetes Cluster: For creating or managing K8s clusters.

How to Obtain

• Referral Program Rewards: Earned by inviting or accepting invitations.
• Redemption Code: Visit the Coupon page, click redeem, and enter your redemption code.

Usage Rules

• Coupons can only be used within their specified applicable scope.
• Once used, the coupon will be marked as used and cannot be reused.

Referral Program

Each user automatically receives a unique referral code upon registration. You can share this code with others—when the invitee completes registration and makes a purchase, both parties receive rewards.

Registration Reward

When a new user completes registration using your referral code:

• Inviter: Receives a 30% off coupon, platform-wide.
• Invitee: Also receives a 30% off coupon, platform-wide.

Note: Each user can only hold 1 unused 30% off coupon at a time. If you already have an unused 30% off coupon, you won't receive another one from additional invitation rewards until the existing one is used.

Cashback Reward

When the invitee completes their first purchase:

• Inviter: Receives 20% of the actual payment amount as cashback, credited to your account balance as bonus funds.

Participation Rules

Referral Registration Reward

• New user enters a valid referral code during registration.
• Each user can only be invited once.
• Self-invitation is not allowed.

Invitee's Successful Purchase

• The invitee successfully completes a purchase order (excluding top-up orders).
• Only the first non-top-up order qualifies for cashback (top-up orders don't count).
• Cashback amount = Order actual payment amount × 20%.

View Referral Data

You can view your referral performance on the Referral Program page:

• Referral Code: Can be copied and shared.
• Referral Link: Complete registration link.
• Total Invited: Total number of users registered via your referral code.
• Total Cashback Users: Number of invitees who generated cashback.
• Total Cashback Amount: Total cashback received from all invitees.
• Recent Invitations: Shows the last 20 invitation records, including invitee email (masked), invitation time, whether cashback was generated, and cashback amount.

Cashback Details

Cashback is the cash reward the inviter receives from the invitee's first actual purchase. The cashback amount is directly credited to the inviter's account balance.

Cashback Calculation

Cashback amount = Order actual payment amount × 20%

Examples:

• Invitee purchases a 💰100 VM → Inviter receives 💰20 cashback.
• Invitee renews for 💰58.5 → Inviter receives 💰11.7 cashback.
• Invitee resets traffic for 💰12.33 → Inviter receives 💰2.47 cashback.

Cashback Rules

• Each invitee can only generate cashback once (first purchase only).
• Cashback is directly added to your account balance and can be used anytime.

FAQ

Why don't top-up orders generate cashback?

Top-ups are not considered actual purchases, so they don't qualify for cashback.

Why is cashback only calculated once per invitee?

Only the first purchase generates cashback to prevent abuse. The system encourages genuine, long-term referral relationships.

Does cashback expire?

Cashback is directly added to your account balance, which has no expiration date. You can use it anytime.

Do both the inviter and invitee receive registration coupons?

Yes. The registration reward is bidirectional—both parties receive a 30% off coupon. The cashback reward is only for the inviter.

How can I view my referral records?

Open the Referral Program page to see your referral code, referral link, total invited, total cashback users, total cashback amount, and recent invitation records.
