Top-Up Guide
Top-Up Methods
Account top-ups only support third-party payment methods (e.g., credit/debit card). Balance payment is not available for top-ups to avoid circular charging.
Top-Up Tiers
You can choose from preset tiers or enter a custom amount (minimum ¥4). Some tiers include bonus funds—the higher the top-up amount, the larger the bonus. Final credited amount = top-up amount + bonus.
Post-Top-Up Redirect
After payment completes, you'll be taken to an order processing page. The system processes the order automatically and redirects you based on the order type once it's done.
Billing Models
RESVRL offers two billing models, which appear differently in your billing history.
Prepaid
Prepaid means you pay the full amount upfront when provisioning resources, and the resources are activated immediately. The following order types are prepaid:
- New VM — Created via plan or custom configuration, billed monthly.
- Renewal — Extends the subscription period of an existing VM.
- Upgrade — Increases CPU, memory, storage, etc., with a price difference top-up.
- Traffic Reset — Purchases a new traffic package after exhausting the current one.
- IP Reset — Changes the public IP address of a VM.
- Network Interface Creation — Adds an additional network interface to a VM.
- New Kubernetes Cluster — Creates a managed cluster with a one-time upfront payment.
- Top-Up — Adds funds to your account balance.
Pay-as-you-go
Pay-as-you-go means you provision resources first, and the system auto-deducts from your balance based on actual usage. Two types of orders are generated:
- Pay-as-you-go Time — Charges accumulated based on usage duration of CPU, memory, storage, etc.
- Pay-as-you-go Usage — Charges based on actual public network traffic consumed.
Pay-as-you-go resources require sufficient balance in your account. When balance is insufficient, the system stops auto-deductions and releases resources after 3 hours, while sending in-app notifications and email reminders.
Payment Methods
The platform supports the following payment methods:
- Balance Payment — Pay directly from your account balance, suitable for prepaid orders.
- Third-Party Payment — Credit/debit card & Alipay payment, suitable for prepaid orders and top-ups.
- Auto-Deduction — Used for Pay-as-you-go orders, automatically deducted from your balance on a schedule.
Discounts and Promotions
- Coupons — Available when creating prepaid orders to offset part of the cost. Coupons have specified applicable scopes and usage rules. See Discounts and Referral Program for details.
- Duration Discounts — The longer the prepaid subscription period, the greater the discount.
- Top-Up Bonus — Top up to certain tiers to receive bonus funds in your account.
- Referral Cashback — Invite friends to sign up and spend, and receive cashback in your account balance.
Low Balance Alerts
- The home page notification centre alerts you about resources that may run low on balance soon.
- A clear warning is displayed during checkout if your balance is insufficient.
- Pay-as-you-go resources are automatically suspended and notifications are sent when balance runs out.
FAQ
Why does one Pay-as-you-go resource show multiple orders?
Pay-as-you-go resources are split into two records in billing: one for time-based charges (CPU, memory, storage, etc.) and one for traffic charges (public network traffic consumed). This makes it clear where your money is going.
What does "Operation Failed" mean?
Operation Failed means payment was successful, but an issue occurred during resource creation. You can click "Retry" on the order to re-execute it, or contact our support team.
What if my balance doesn't update after top-up?
Please wait a few seconds to a few minutes for the order to process. You can check the order status in the order list. If the balance still hasn't updated after a prolonged period, please reach out to us via our feedback channel.
Can I delete order records?
Order records are kept for billing queries and historical tracking and cannot be manually deleted.
